If you can envision it, we'll find a way to make it happen. That's how we do business at TRACO, where your imagination is the only limit to our capabilities. Innovation and communication enable TRACO to translate today’s customer’s demands into the products of tomorrow—products built to satisfy an ever-changing marketplace.

We've spent over half a century developing and perfecting our processes to establish TRACO as one of the most vertically integrated, state-of-the-art window, door, and skylight manufacturing facilities in the world. With seven manufacturing plants across the United States and one in China, TRACO has the capabilities to do it all!

Glass Insulating And Tempering

TRACO is the only custom window manufacturer that tempers its own glass in-house. A special manufacturing process is applied, involving heating annealed glass to a temperature of 1200 degrees in the tempering oven and then quenching it with jets of air. The result is a unique product that is four times stronger than ordinary annealed glass that withstands bending, impact and rapid temperature changes and, if broken, falls into harmless pellets for safety.

TRACO’s dual seal insulating glass process automatically sorts cut glass and moves it to the automated dual seal insulating glass line, which features the most advanced machinery in the industry.

Computer Controlled Manufacturing:

All  of TRACO’s vertically integrated manufacturing processes are performed in-house, with operations scheduled, monitored, displayed and documented by an internal computerized network. With the help of an automatic X-Y-Z cutter, TRACO cuts its own glass. The equipment cuts glass lites into the desired shapes and within one ten-thousandth of an inch, maximizing the glass used.

In-House Testing:

TRACO's in-house testing facility includes a full-scale test chamber to ensure that each product has the highest performance characteristics. TRACO windows and doors are certified for air and water performance, U-Value, condensation resistance, structural loading and forced entry—earning ratings that exceed standards specified by recognized agencies and certification associations, including the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA), the Insulating Glass Certification Council (IGCC), and the Safety Glazing Certification Council (SGCC).

TRACO’S testing facility has been independently tested and certified to assure maximum compliance with today’s stringent standards.

Today, TRACO’s corporate headquarters and Commercial manufacturing is located in a 950,000-sq. ft. facility in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. Additional manufacturing facilities are located in Red Oak, Iowa; Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania; Miami, Florida; Johnson City Tennessee; Merced, California, and Wuhan, China. Branch Sales and Distribution Centers are located throughout the United States.
